UVA Club of the Virginia Peninsula: Cavs Care - Waller Mill Park Clean Up
ll alumni, families, and friends are invited to join the UVA Club of the Virginia Peninsula for a group volunteer opportunity supporting the Cavs Care Worldwide Service Weekend. Our day of service will focus on preserving the natural beauty of Waller Mill Park in Williamsburg, VA.
Volunteers will assist in cleaning up the trails and grounds around the park, ensuring it remains a welcoming space for the entire community. Tasks include picking up trash and maintaining the park's pristine condition.
What to Bring:
- Gloves (recommended)
- Closed-toe, comfortable shoes
- Water
What Will Be Provided:
- Trash pickers
- Safety vests
- Bags
Meeting Point: Volunteers should park in the main lot and walk to the designated meeting location near the Boathouse. Look for the large picnic table with light blue ends—this is where we will gather, distribute supplies, and start the day’s work.
All volunteers are required to fill out a volunteer application, attached here. Please bring the completed application with you on the day of the clean-up.
This is a wonderful opportunity to give back to the Williamsburg community, connect with fellow Wahoos, and make a tangible difference. Whether you’re a seasoned volunteer or new to service events, your effort will contribute to a collective impact that embodies UVA’s values!
