Are you interested in raising funds for your favorite UVA group or program?

You can host personal campaigns to solicit gifts from your network to areas of UVA that are important to you.

UVA will support you by providing software, campaign planning, and strategy.

HOW IT WORKS

Submit your application by February 9th 2026

We will review your application and contact you if you have been approved for the Spring Cohort of 2026 Grassroots Fundraising.

Once approved you will be taught how to build a campaign and how to organize a grassroots fundraising campaign.

PROJECT REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have UVA Fund account

  • Have a designated project lead

  • Have an interested audience

What types of projects are eligible?
 

Projects should support a UVA group/program and be appropriate for a grassroots fundraising approach. They must have a clear purpose and an engaged audience ready to support.

What happens after my application is approved?

Approved groups are taught how to build a campaign, organize outreach, and execute a grassroots fundraising strategy using UVA’s provided platform and resources.

What is expected of project leads?

Project leads oversee campaign creation, outreach, communication with the UVA team, and stewardship after the campaign.
