Joe Montante is the director, virtual philanthropy, managing a team of four digital engagement fundraisers. Joe graduated from UVA in 2021 with a degree in foreign affairs. He is a massive UVA baseball fan and loves hiking and fishing in Central Virginia. His favorite spot on Grounds is the Music Library stacks.
Meg Flanagan is a donor experience officer. She earned her bachelor’s degree in English literature from UVA in 2008. She enjoys running and biking on quiet dirt roads, and her favorite location on Grounds is the quad by the Corner, where she likes to take her family after a trip to Bodo’s.
Jeanna Grimes is a donor experience officer. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from UVA in 2002 and a master’s degree in communication from American University. In Charlottesville, Jeanna enjoys visiting vintage and thrift stores, and her favorite area on Grounds is the steps of the McIntire Ampitheatre.
Abigail Simmerman is a donor experience officer. She graduated in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary-media studies, and in 2022 with her master’s degree in media, culture and technology. She enjoys eating at local restaurants in Charlottesville, and visiting the Farmer’s Market. On Grounds, Abby’s favorite place is the West Range, especially Edgar Allen Poe’s room.
