UVA Clubs: Behind the Scenes - Celebrate Virginia Wine Month

Join us for our next virtual Behind the Scenes program celebrating Virginia Wine Month with DuCard Vineyards on Tuesday, October 25! Scott Elliff and his wife Karen Yannello (LAW ’77) invited us to film this year’s harvest including picking, pressing, destemming, fermenting, and bottling (aged wine). We will share that footage with you and Scott will narrate each step of the process.

As we watch we’ll be drinking DuCard’s 2020 Chardonnay and their 2019 Merlot. You can optionally order your own to be shipped directly to you. The ordering deadline is Tuesday, October 18 for west coast orders or Thursday, October 20 for all others.

DuCard Vineyards and Winery are located in beautiful Madison, VA, bordering the eastern slope of Shenandoah National Park. They welcome all alumni, family and friends to visit when in Virginia.
