UVA Club of Washington DC: Cavs Care - Earth Day River Cleanup at Oxon Cove
The UVA Club of Washington, DC invites all alumni, friends, and families to join DC Hoos and the Potomac Riverkeeper Network for a Cavs Care event on Saturday, April 23rd to make a difference and create a cleaner, greener river ecosystem! Volunteers are needed to help remove single-use plastics and trash washed along the banks of the Potomac at Oxon Run. Wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little muddy and be ready to sign a safety waiver either before the event or at the registration area. Trash bags and gloves will be provided, but feel free to bring your own equipment!
The event will run two shifts, 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. ET and 12:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. ET, to prevent overcrowding. Volunteers can register for either. Registration will begin 30 minutes before each shift.
