UVA Club of Silicon Valley: UVA Night with the Sharks

The UVA Club of Silicon Valley is back! Join fellow UVA alumni, friends, families, and fans for an unforgettable night out at the Sharks game on February 27. The night kicks off with a pre-game reception where you'll have the chance to connect with team president Jonathan Becher (Engr '86) and reminisce about your UVA days.

Each ticket ($50 each) comes with a moderate buffet during the game and two drink tickets, access to the pre-game event, a drawing for a signed Sharks jersey, as well as the option to take a photo with fellow Hoos at the center ice logo after the game. About Jonathan:

Jonathan Becher is president of Sharks Sports& Entertainment, the parent organization for the NHL San Jose Sharks, the AHL San Jose Barracuda, three Sharks Ice recreational facilities, and the non-profit Sharks Foundation. A long-time Sharks fan, Becher is responsible for the organization’s overall strategy with a particular focus on the end-to-end experience.

Prior to joining the Sharks, Becher spent a decade at SAP in a variety of senior roles, including Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Digital Officer.

A three-time technology company CEO, Becher is an advisor to several early-stage companies and is on the Board of Directors of multiple organizations. He is a frequent speaker at events and a published author on a variety of topics – including the popular blog, Manage By Walking Around (http://jonathanbecher.com). Becher holds a master’s degree in computer science from Duke University, and a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from the University of Virginia.
