UVA Club of Fairfield/Westchester: Tour Brant Foundation Art Study Center
The UVA Club of Fairfield/Westchester invites all alumni, friends, and families to join us for a private in-person tour of the Brant Foundation Art Study Center, in Greenwich, Connecticut.
Its current exhibition is a survey of works by David Salle. His contemporary American paintings can be found in the collections of the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York, the Guggenheim Museum in New York, the Tate Gallery in London, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., among others. Despite having numerous recent international exhibitions, this will be Salle’s first comprehensive survey in 20 years and will comprise over 40 works from the Brant Collections and loans from international private collections, foundations, and museums.
The Brant Foundation Art Study Center, designed by Richard Gluckman, has a mission to promote education and appreciation of contemporary art and design, by making works available to institutions and individuals for scholarly study and examination. It opened its doors in Greenwich in 2009 and presents two long-term exhibitions each year, curated primarily from its collection.
Masks are required to be worn during the tour for all attendees at the Foundation. Free parking is available at the premises.
