Happy Sunday Lifetime Learners! Today begins the most romantic week of the year – the week of Valentine’s Day. Traditionally, there is a lot of pressure placed on this one day; whether you’re taken or single, celebrating Valentine’s Day or Galentine’s Day, or just looking forward to discounted chocolate on February 15th, we all hold high expectations for this holiday. But do we really know what makes us happy? Is it the perfect card, or that expensive box of chocolates? Is it a large bouquet of flowers, or a home-cooked meal? What do we really know about happiness?
Tim Wilson, Sherrell J. Aston Professor of Psychology in the College and Graduate School of Arts & Sciences, seeks to answer that question in this podcast from the 2010 More Than the Score season that is still just as relevant today.
