UVA Clubs: On-Air with Andres Clarens
You are invited to join Andres Clarens (ENGR '99) for a discussion on environmental impact. Andres Clarens (ENGR '99), a Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Associate Director, Environmental Resilience Institute, and the Director of the Virginia Environmentally Sustainable Technologies Laboratory. Andres will share his thoughts on "How we get to net-zero carbon emissions and solve climate change" and then will answer questions from the audience.
Andres will discuss commitments to achieving ‘net zero’ carbon emissions that states like Virginia and institutions like UVA are making to respond to the climate crisis. He will discuss what it will take to achieve these targets, the big unanswered questions, and the ways in which this transition will impact all of us.
