Golf Tips, Drills, and Q&A with Virginia Golf Legend Tom McKnight (COM '76, PAR '00, '07)

All alumni, parents, and friends are invited to join UVA Clubs for an evening with Virginia golf legend Tom McKnight (COM ’76, PAR '00, '07) in advance of the 2021 Masters.

We’ll watch Tom demonstrate some tips and drills at Farmington where he currently teaches golf, and then have conversation and Q&A about his competition experience and his Masters' picks for this year.

Tom played on the UVA golf team from 1973-1976 and then competed as both an amateur and professional on numerous tours around the world. His accomplishments include three Virginia Amateur championships, three Eastern Amateur championships, a finalist in the 1988 US Amateur in Hot Springs, VA, and a finalist at Oak Hill in Rochester, NY in 1998. In 1999, McKnight finished T-44th as second low amateur at the Masters, qualified for the US Open at Pinehurst, reached #1 in world amateur rankings, and was selected for the US Walker Cup team. More recently, Tom played on the PGA Champions Tour from 2004 -2010.

We’ll first watch Tom demonstrate some tips and drills at Farmington where he currently teaches golf, and then we'll have a conversation and Q&A about his competition experience and his Masters' picks for this year.
