UVA Entertainment Club of Los Angeles: January Speaker Series - Endi Piper
The UVA Entertainment Club of Los Angeles invites all alumni, friends, and families to join us on Tuesday, January 23 for our January Speaker Series featuring double Hoo, Endi Piper (Col '93, Law ‘98). With 20+ years of entertainment law experience, Endi Piper has led a fascinating career in the thick of the entertainment industry and has a wealth of insight to share with us all.
Doors will open at 7:45 p.m.; the event begins promptly at 8. Space is limited and registration for this event is required.

About Endi Piper:
Endi Piper is currently the General Counsel of The Springhill Company, a global consumer and entertainment company founded by LeBron James and Maverick Carter focusing on empowering greatness in every individual. As General Counsel, Piper oversees business and legal affairs for multiple brands and also serves as the company’s Corporate Secretary. Prior to The SpringHill Company, Piper served as the General Counsel of Complex Media, Inc., a digital media company jointly owned by Hearst and Verizon Communications, Inc. and before that, Piper spent a brief stint as the Head of Business Affairs for Buzzfeed, Inc. after Buzzfeed acquired Complex. Before Complex, Piper was the Senior Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs for TV One, LLC, a national cable network that produces original programming for the African American audience. Piper began her legal career at Black Entertainment Television in Business Affairs, and has also worked at Scripps Networks Interactive and Urban One, Inc. (formerly Radio One, Inc.) over the course of her career.
Piper is an active member of the Board of Directors for the Black Entertainment and Sports Lawyers Association (BESLA), which provides legal education and professional development for lawyers, law students and other professionals in the entertainment, sports, and related industries. Piper received a BA in Spanish Language and Linguistics and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Virginia. She also completed the coveted Cable Executive Management Program at Harvard Business School.

Upon arriving at Verve, go to the security stand in the lobby. Tell them you are there for an event at Verve and they will let you upstairs. As you get out of the elevator, walk across the open meeting space towards the glass conference room doors. A UVAELA board member should be in the lobby to assist. Please note, someone is only on standby for 15 minutes into the program; latecomers cannot be guaranteed admission.
