UVA Club of London: An Evening with Ila Berman

Please join the UVA Club of London and fellow alumni, parents, and friends as we welcome Ila Berman, Dean of the Architecture School, to London for an evening at Goldfinger Factory! Guests are invited to join us at 7:00 p.m. for drinks, dinner, and a talk. Food will be catered by Sicilian café, Panella. This event was facilitated by A-School alum Leslie Feeney-Baily (ARH '86), who has been working with Goldfinger’s strategy and design partnerships for over a year.

Goldfinger Factory is an award-winning sustainable design social enterprise that combines a bespoke furniture and interiors business with a Teaching Academy for less advantaged young people, where they share their skills in traditional craftsmanship and reclaimed materials. Everything they do is guided by their passion for circular economy principles and an inclusive community. 

Goldfinger Factory is set in the ground floor of the Trellick Tower complex. Ernö Goldfinger’s brutalist 31-storey tower opened in 1972 as social housing is now an icon. Monumental in style with its free-standing service tower and surreal boiler house, it retains beautiful detailing and a rich use of materials.
