Jennifer (Kim) Penberthy, PhD, ABBP, Chester F. Carlson Professor, Department of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences and Professor of Research in Psychiatric Medicine, Division of Perceptual Studies, School of Medicine, University of Virginia
A clinical psychologist, Penberthy’s research interests include consciousness and psychology at the end of life and research regarding the use of contemplative and mindfulness practices to enhance people’s abilities and performance. She also specializes in working with patients with mental health issues and physical illnesses such as cancer, HIV, and diabetes.
