Unlocking the Future: Navigating AI Ethics and Data Activism with Renée Cummings

All alumni, families, and friends are invited to join us for a conversation with Renée Cummings, Assistant Professor of the Practice in Data Science, for an engaging virtual talk that explores the ethical implications of data on society — delving into the intersection between Artificial Intelligence ("AI") ethics and data activism.

During this session, she will examine the impact of AI on the relationship between data and society, redefining the data power structure, and the two fundamental approaches to AI ethics: rights-based and risk-based approaches.

This event aims to expand our understanding of the ethical risks of AI and how to build resilient, rewarding, responsible, sustainable, justice-oriented, and trauma-informed AI for the benefit of all.

The Zoom link will be e-mailed to participants prior to the event.
