Winter Horseback Trail Ride at Triple R Ranch

Join the UVA Club of Tidewater on Saturday, December 4th for a guided trail ride at Triple R Ranch in Chesapeake, VA. We will host three back-to-back, socially distanced trail rides at 1:00 p.m. or 2:00 p.m. ET with limited availability for each slot. You will need to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled trail ride. All horseback riding skill levels are welcome.

  • Tickets for adults are $35 each.
  • Tickets for children (8-12) are $25 each

The Triple R Ranch Horse Riding Agreement and Liability Release Form is attached for your review prior to purchase. Please return the completed form to Melvina Queen (CLAS '08) at melvina.queen@gmail.com to complete your reservation. This form must be completed by and for each participant.

Important Notes:

Children must be at least 8 years old and accompanied by a parent/guardian on the trail ride. Children under 18 cannot be dropped off to ride on their own.

Please make sure to wear long pants, close-toed shoes (boot with a 1" heel preferred, tennis shoes are acceptable), and an SEI-approved helmet (necessary for all riders under 18 and offered for riders 18 and over). Triple R does provide appropriate helmets, but you may bring your own. All saddles and helmets are being sanitized to meet COVID-19 guidelines.

Social Distancing Measures:

We ask that everyone practice social distancing and maintain a safe distance of 6 feet between fellow riders whenever possible. Face masks must be worn when necessary. If you are feeling sick or experiencing symptoms of respiratory illness, including shortness of breath, fever or cough kindly sit this one out and stay home.

This event will follow all pandemic-related health and safety regulations set in place by Triple R Ranch, the City of Chesapeake, and the State of Virginia as of Saturday, December 4th.
